As a CNS or NPD for 4S Oncology/Cellular Therapy/Hospice, we have an exciting opportunity for an advanced practice nurse to take a leadership role in crafting, implementing and evaluating patient-specific and population-based programs of care at the unit based and system level.

You will work on a peer level with other CNS, Nursing Educators, and Associate Directors.

Assume the role of leader, clinician, researcher, educator, patient care advocate, consultant, inter and intra-departmental liaison, and resource professional.

Interact directly with patients, families, and groups of patients to promote health or well-being and improve quality of life characterized by a holistic perspective in the advanced nursing management of health, illness, and disease states.

Maintain competency skills including the ability to deliver care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

Master's degree in clinical nursing specialty required for CNS.

Bachelor's degree or above in clinical nursing specialty required for NPD.

Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree preferred.

License/Certification Requirements:

Valid California Registered Nurse license.

CNS certification by the CA Board of Registered Nursing (for the CNS role)

American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.

ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification preferred. Must obtain within 6 months of hire.

National Specialty Certification required from OCN or BMTCN.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years recent acute RN experience in specialty

Oncology experience preferred.

Meets specialty specific clinical competencies for assigned area.
