Notifies the Agency Director immediately if any incidents or accidents occur.Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when business travel is required.May provide or assist clients with activities of daily living including: bathing in bed, tub or shower; care of hair including shampoo, combing and brushing; care of teeth and mouth including denture care; nail care, filing only; skin care including pericare and applying lotion; transfer of patient from bed to chair and to wheelchair. Transfer of patients on and off bedpan, commode and toilet.Assists with household tasks directly essential to clients' personal care.Education and ExperienceExperience DesiredSix months experience in home care preferred.Successful completion of a competency evaluation.License RequirementsCurrent CPR certification required.Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.Skill RequirementsAbility to work flexible hours as required to meet identified patients' needs.Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the patient.Able to work independently.Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.Home Care by Black Stone is part of the LHC Group family of providers - the preferred post-acute care partner for hospitals, physicians, and families nationwide.
