About Bloomberg Buyside Risk (MARS) - Account Manager

  The Bloomberg risk suite is a scalable, high-performance set of solutions built upon some of the most widely used pricing engines and derivative libraries on the market. The integration of our suite of risk solutions across our buyside product range has allowed us to focus on providing clients with a flexible and complete offering to match their risk needs across their organization.

  These solutions include intra-day portfolio management, market risk, counterparty risk, credit risk, collateral management, structured cashflows.

  What's the role?

  Due to internal career development, we are looking for a dedicated account manager to work with all buy-side risk clients across the UK/Ireland region. This role will be important to develop a long-term relationship with the accounts from a risk perspective, operate as a point of contact for enterprise clients, generate upselling opportunities to existing clients and help to manage the renewal pipeline. This role will involve coordination across multiple teams including Risk Sales, Risk Support Team, PORT, AIM and Core Sales as we look to drive the Bloomberg Buyside holistic solution.

  We will trust you to:

  Strategically look across your coverage to determine gaps in client's workflow to increase their usage of the terminal and marquee products Proactively find and monitor at-risk users to defend the Bloomberg business Manage usage campaigns, both self-initiated to achieve business targets and management driven initiatives Build strong and lasting relationships with users and senior leaders in our client base Develop a sound understanding of Bloomberg's Risk products, how they integrate with financial markets and to position our solutions appropriately Demonstrate a strong level of Bloomberg customer type knowledge, by understanding how that player type makes money, does their job, and utilizes technology Be able to demonstrate functionality and workflows of applicable Bloomberg solutions that improve a specific customer type's need Contribute innovative ideas that anticipate and address client needs Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives Seek out additional ways to demonstrate leadership and make an impact, such as mentoring, involvement in training, running campaigns, and active involvement in product enhancement You'll need to have: Knowledge of risk topics, ideally including UCITS/AIFMD Ability to engage at a senior level with buy-side clients Ability to engage and collaborate with other teams internally Excellent communication skills Exemplary presentation, training and communication skills in English We'd love to see: A focus on the MARS range of solutions already, either through advocacy or direct involvement in risk opportunities If this sounds like you:
