　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　Under the direction of the licensed nurse, the BHT I is responsible to provide care to patients with psychiatric disorders. Responsible for observing and intervening to keep patients safe, respond to maladaptive behaviors, and for input into the formulation of a therapeutic milieu treatment plan.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

　　Preferred Education: Associate Degree or higher in a human services field, e.g. psychology

　　Required License: BLS Preferred License: None

　　Required Experience: None

　　Preferred Experience: One year clinical experience as a health care provider on a psychiatric unit.
