About Associate Buyer

  SUMMARY

  Under the general supervision of the CIO, the Associate Buyer will assist in completing all purchasing functions, ensuring materials are available for production, and purchasing finished goods to fulfill sales orders. The incumbent will be required to prioritize tasks, build strong rapport with team members and customers, and become a dependable, proactive problem solver.

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  Accurately assist in entering purchase orders into the ERP system.

  Email purchase orders to appropriate factories and ensure receipt of Sales Confirmation from factories.

  Assist with gathering backup documentation to support the Purchase Order.

  Run open order reports and follow up with factories to ensure timely shipments

  Assist Buyers with reviewing all open orders to ensure Purchase Orders are produced and shipped on schedule.

  Communicate with factories to gather required data used by various departments.

  Collaborate with the logistics department to ensure full container load shipments.

  Maintain a current database of vendors.

  Prepare, run, and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed.

  Other related duties as required.

  Requirements

  EDUCATION: Associate Degree.

  EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in an ERP system is highly desired.

  TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  Excellent written and oral communication skills

  Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  Ability to work independently while paying close attention to detail.

  Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently.

  COMPENSATION: $24.00 - $30.77
