In this position, you will handle a range of accounting and finance support functions, with an emphasis on effective record keeping. The clerk's responsibilities will mainly include entering high volumes of data into Microsoft Excel and ERP systems and databases with utmost precision and speed and must possess a high level of organization, reliability and attention to detail. This long-term contract / temporary Data Entry Clerk position is in Salinas, California.

Your responsibilities

Utilizing policies and procedures to continue operations; communicating necessary changes

Gathering and organizing information to be entered into the computer; prioritizing entries

Maintaining data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures

Reviewing customer and account source documents for deficiencies

Working on special projects as assigned

Assisting with data entry and additional administrative tasks

Working with and maintaining confidentiality of highly sensitive information Requirements - Can work independently with minimal supervision

1+ years of experience related to this role

Strong communication and social skills

Proven computer skills

Perform a data entry speed of 8,000 keystrokes per hour with 100% accuracy

High school diploma or equivalent

Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

Strong Microsoft Excel skills required

Deep understanding of Basic Math Skills

Data entry experience desired

Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred

Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired

navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience
