We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate caregiver to schedule and lead therapeutic activities for adults and aging adults with functional disabilities in our activity center.
JOB SUMMARY-Activities Coordinator
The Activities Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of all therapeutic programming activities for the participants in the Adult Day Services program.
QUALIFICATIONS- Activities Coordinator
Bachelor's degree in Human Services orHigh School Diploma/GED with two+ years' experience working with individuals with adults and aging adults with functional disabilities required.Current First Aid and CPR training preferred.A valid PA Driver's License in good standing and a satisfactory driving record required.Valid Automobile InsuranceAcceptable Criminal Record Check required. Obtained by the employer.Child Abuse Clearance required.Department of Aging FBI Clearance required if not a continuous resident of PA for three years prior to employment with Easterseals.Passing of physical examination and TB required, paid for by the employer.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES -Activities Coordinator
Plan, develop and implement daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly program schedules, calendars and newsletters with approval of the Director. Provide program schedules and calendars to employees, volunteers, consumers, caregivers and others as appropriate.Assist in the assessment of participants regarding their wants and needs, prior social history, skills, and interests.Integrate participant information and ensure involvement of other employees in the development of an individualized/multidisciplinary approach in activity programming. Document this as part of the overall care planning process.Assist in developing individualized care plans and care plan conferences.Assist program participants in aspects of personal care, as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to: toileting, feeding, ambulating, range of motion, etc.Must be able to lift, carry, or pull up to 40 pounds as needed. Must be able to push wheelchairs which can require up to 70 pounds of force.HOURS/BENEFITS-Activities Coordinator
The Activities Coordinator is a full-time position, M-F 8:00 am-4:00 pm, 40 hours per week. The hourly rate is $16.00 with an annual salary of $33,280. The position comes with an excellent benefit package valued at an additional $6K per year (health, dental and vision coverage, retirement savings plan, paid time off, life and disability insurance.
