Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing various accounts payable function. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal departments and subsidiaries to facilitate timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Review and process invoices and verifying the accuracy of charges and proper authorization before initiating payment.
Handle the processing and recording of corporate expenses, including employee reimbursements, travel expenses, and other related disbursements.
Work closely with purchasing and procurement teams to match purchase orders with invoices and packing slips, ensuring compliance with company policies and preventing duplicate or unauthorized payments.
Perform 3-way matching of invoices against purchase orders and goods received, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring accurate invoice processing.
Oversee the entire accounts payable process, from invoice receipt to payment, ensuring timely and accurate processing while maintaining adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Establish and maintain positive vendor relationships, promptly resolving any vendor inquiries, discrepancies, or issues related to payments and invoices.
Accurately enter invoice and payment data into the accounting system and maintain well-organized and up-to-date records.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely approval of invoices and expense reports, streamlining the accounts payable workflow.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proven work experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar finance role.
Strong understanding of corporate expenses, purchase orders, and 3-way matching.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
