Description

　　We are currently seeking an efficient and dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department. This individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring that our financial operations run smoothly.This position is a permanent role and is located in the New Hyde Park, New York area. 　　Responsibilities

　　Maintaining financial records including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

　　Work closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance.

　　Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.

　　Compile and sort invoices and checks, and issue and send out payments.

　　Conduct regular ledger reconciliation.

　　Support external audits by providing necessary information and documents.

　　Resolve discrepancies in the accounting system.

　　Posting daily receipts and preparing bank deposits.

　　Maintaining petty cash and conducting regular counts of the cash drawer.

　　Maintain an organized accounting filing system.

　　Requirements

　　A degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.

　　Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounting Clerk or Accounts Receivable/Payable clerk.

　　Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.

　　Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software such as QuickBooks.

　　Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.

　　Knowledge of business principles and practices.

　　Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.

　　Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

　　Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and deliver as per scheduled deadlines.

　　Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
