Job Summary:Position requires knowledge of imaging techniques for all areas ofultrasound: OB/GYN, Abdominal, Small Parts, Breast (site specific)Vascular, OR and Procedure in accordance with ACR guidelines anddepartment specific policies. Assists with providing 24/7 coverage ofthe Ultrasound Service with rotating Saturdays, holidays and callcoverage. Performs other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Oneyear of current clinical experience is preferred . EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: Graduate or a student in a program accredited by an agencyrecognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA),United States Department of Education (USDOE) or Canadian MedicalAssociation (CMA), that specifically conducts programmatic accreditationfor diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vasculartechnology. Currently the only organizations that offer programmaticaccreditation under the aforementioned associations are the Commissionon Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and theCanadian Medical Association (CMA). Associate or Bachelor\'s degree inUltrasound/Sonography is preferred. Substantial training and currentclinical experience with ARDMS registry will be accepted. SPECIAL SKILLSDESCRIPTION: Candidate must be proficient with ultrasound equipment andhave basic knowledge of patient care equipment. Familiarity withMcKesson PACS, Epic EMR preferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Newly hired,experienced sonographers must be registry eligible through the ARDMS(American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers). Sonographerswill be required to be registered in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB) andVascular (VT). Each registry not obtained at the time hire will need tobe completed every 9 months until all registries are complete. AmericanHeart Association (AHA) Basic Life support for the Healthcare provider(BLS) or an American Heart Association (AHA) approved equivalent isrequired within 90 days of hire.
