About the role: This position will be responsible for feeding raw materials into machinery and monitoring the production process. Additionally, this person will carry out basic checks such as testing of products and packaging per company standards before shipping by adequately storing all necessary supplies. We are excited about you because: * You will package finished goods following proper packaging standards and procedures. * You have the willingness to learn to operate new machinery. * You will successfully ensure production areas are completely stocked with required material. * You will perform in a fast-paced production environment. * You have a strong understanding of manufacturing procedures. * You will lift heavy objects by hand and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds, to assist machine operators. * You have experience in conveying material from storage or work sites to designated areas, using hand truck or an electric dolly. * You will load, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of following duties: Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. * Please note that this job description is not designated to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities for the job. Required Skills/Abilities: * Must possess the ability to work in a team environment. * Must have a strong work ethic. * Must be capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. * Must have strong communication skills. * Must be able to read and write and be able to stay focused. * Education And/or Experience is highly preferred (High School or Trade School). * Prior manufacturing experience preferred. * Must have basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals. * Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer, dial bore gauge, and various other precision measurement equipment. Safety: * Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures. * Wears and maintains all required PPE. * Keeps always assigned work area clean. * Understands all safety devices and their operation. Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to operation. * Safely operates all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications. * Background with manufacturing methods and procedures, process improvement programs and procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities * None QUALIFICATIONS * Mechanically inclined * Problem Solver * Team Oriented EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE * Prior manufacturing experience preferred * The Military Equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Lifting up to 50 lbs * Standing 8 or more hours per day * Walking - Off and on, 4-6 hours per day * Body Positions - Squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms * Grasping - Both hands, up to 8-hours per day * Sitting - None * Pushing Effort - Carts of finished product and tools, up to 50lbs * Pulling - Tools and finished product, up to 50lbs * Climbing - ladders/stairs, occasionally Mathematical Skills * Basic Mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals * Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer accurately Work Environment * Manufacturing facility - exposed to heat and cold * Personal Protective Equipment always required * Controlled Noise environment * Activity level high - continuous overhead crane and forklift movement CLARKDIETRICH BENEFITS INCLUDE * Tiered wage system, where promotion is based on ability * Full benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts and Life Insurance) * Monthly Bonus * 401(k) with Company Match * Vacation * Tuition Reimbursement * Community Service Day Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
