The Business Industrial and Scientific Supplies (BISS) team is looking for Vendor Manager (VM) for Professional Dental category. VM will be responsible for managing and growing dental supplies category on Amazon retail. We partner with several cross-functional teams (Marketing, AB, Tech etc.) to improve the customer experience for both B2B and B2C customers looking to purchase dental supplies on Amazon.
The VM is responsible for managing the full scope of their category including managing selection portfolio and end to end relationship with associated vendors driving the topline performance and profitability for their business. They own strategic direction for the portfolio identifying selection gaps, key brands to onboard and customer experience to offer.
The VM is also responsible for signing new brands, leading negotiations, managing promotional activities and resolving operational or logistics issues that impact our customer. They will leverage industry reports, customer trends and key metrics to develop insights, and will utilize these insights to drive innovation, marketing and vendor participation in promotional events to drive overall business growth.
They will be able to effectively work cross-functionally with finance, marketing, operations, sales, compliance, legal, and Amazon Business.

STRATEGY

Secure new brands and expand selection from current vendors for multiple subcategories; focus on strategic holdout brands.
Drive strategic negotiations to deliver top- and bottom-line category growth
Increase vendor participation in promotional events, marketing and other strategic initiatives
Builds long-term relationships by creating value, opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building for multiple vendors
BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Analyze vendor outputs and make decisions toward improvement of selection, pricing and customer experience
Identifies areas that need vendor attention and directs team to address issues; acts as escalation point, helping team and vendor(s) resolve conflicts
Deep dive problems to understand root cause and make data based decisions
Works with internal technical, cross-category, and tech teams to drive process changes for multiple subcategories.
Owns the Retail P&L for multiple subcategories

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of with Excel experience
5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience
Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
