  SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE FOR EXTERNAL CANDIDATES Riverway Clinic has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Radiologist Technologist (ARRT)/Mammographer. This position works daytime and some evening hours and is located within the X-ray Department at the Elk River Clinic. Excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. (2/23/2023) POSITION PURPOSE: Performs all duties necessary in the positioning and radiating of patients for mammograms, x-ray processing, quality control of images and processing, patient education regarding exposure. Educations/Experience Required: 1. Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology. 2. Currently registered A.R.R.T in Minnesota. 3. Qualified in mammography (40 hours of initial training) or willing to be trained in mammography upon hire. Preferred: Member of M.S.R.T (Minnesota Society of Radiologic Technologists) or A.S.R.T (American Society of Radiologic Technologists). Position Responsibilities People: Teamwork Handles patient's questions, concern regarding procedures. Participates actively in self-development and educational activities. Health: Data and Quality Performs mammograms and produces high quality radiographs with minimum errors. Provides proper radiation protection and quality care to patients, employees and self by selecting proper technical factors and operating equipment in a safe effective manner while ensuring established protocol for quality control is followed. Implements professional standards at all times using independent judgment as needed when necessary to depart from established techniques. Processes/reviews finished images and sort/organize images for reading. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy. Assists with department record keeping and related file work. If there is a department receptionist, performs those duties during the receptionist absence. Follows strict OSHA standard. Maintains equipment. Complies with Code of Conduct. Identifies and responds to issues of confidentiality, performs within legal and ethical boundaries. Participates in patient outreach to maximize best care for all patients Experience: Patient Service Answers incoming calls and respond appropriately. Greets patients warmly. Stewardship: Financial Maintains a well-stocked and esthetic exam room to ensure and organized, safe and professional environment. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Greet patients with a warm welcome and completes interactions with a warm closure. Patient Advocacy: Assure patient's rights to privacy, safety and confidentiality. Respect, embrace and value diversity. Project a professional image through appearance, positive attitude and constructive interactions. ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIORS: Definition: Organizational behavior is the building and maintaining of solid interdependent relationships within the department, clinic and throughout HealthPartners Family of Care. Performance is up to standard when: Shows interest in and keeps informed of department and organizational changes within the GHI system. Provides honest and constructive input during policy formation. Accepts and supports final decision. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Reads department and Riverway and HealthPartne s e-mail daily to keep up with changed. Has read department requirements, e.g., policy manual review, OSHA, etc. annually, as required. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires full range of body motion, which includes handling and lifting patients, stooping or stretching, hand-eye coordination and manual and finger dexterity. Requires walking and standing for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires normal vision and hearing range, and the absence of color blindness. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, bio-hazardous wastes and other conditions common to a clinic environment. MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND WORK AIDS: which may be representative, but not all inclusive, of those commonly associated with this type of work: Telephones, computers, mammography equipment, digitizer, quality control devices and other equipment related to clinic mammography/radiology setting. Skills and Abilities: Organizes effectively. Establishes priorities. Understands regulations and procedures to administer patient care. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish safe working conditions. Ability to maintain records, write reports and respond to correspondence. Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability to work quickly under pressure. Works productively as a team player. WORK SCHEDULE: Monday: 7:30 a.m.- 6:30 p.m. Tuesday: 7:15 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Friday: 7:15 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Current schedule subject to change.
