About the Position
Performs routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing/maintaining paper and electronic files, and providing information to callers.
Claims Assistant Responsibilities:
Opens, reads, routes, and distributes incoming mail and other materials. Prepares answers to routine letters.
Take outgoing mail to the USPS mailbox located on the 1st floor of the building using a dolly or other wheeled cart.
Sets up and maintains paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other materials.
Completes and routes forms in accordance with company procedures.
Assist with claims intake and Risk Management Platform
Assist in other processes such as reconciliation, expense report preparation, invoicing/Accounts Payable procedures, etc.
Makes copies of correspondence and other printed material.
Other duties as assigned.
Claims Assistant Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to utilize office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems; ability to use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications.
Professional demeanor and confidence to work in an advanced corporate setting.
