Scope of Responsibilities: Oversees the development, implementation, and auditing of inventory policy and procedure. Responsible for training and development of Inventory Specialists. Ensures improvement and maintenance of key inventory metrics (turns, outdate reduction, etc.) Responsible for identifying, assessing, and implementing technology that can effectively manage inventory.
Job Summary: Responsible for policy and procedure development, inventory specialist training, inventory auditing and compliance, overall metric improvement, and implementation of inventory management technology.
Responsibilities
Develop inventory management standardized policy and procedure.
Audit inventory policy and procedure.
Develop standardized inventory management training.
Provide onsite training for inventory specialists, managers, and pharmacists as needed.
Attend physical inventories and ensure that each site is ready prior to inventory night.
Establish inventory goals and metrics for the division and by location.
Assist in tracking and auditing outdates and overstocked merchandise.
Identify, assess, develop, and implement technology to improve inventory management.
Work with facility management and HD support staff to ensure that accurate cost files are maintained.
Research, review, and correct pharmacies with high shrink outcomes.
Perform regular communication and follow-up with all pharmacies on Brand/Generic conversions.
Coordinate with management and vendors to identify areas of opportunity to act upon.
Perform general housekeeping duties, as necessary.
Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum: High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED
Preferred: AS Degree or Higher
Experience:
Preferred: 2 or more years previous experience in related positionRequired (Vermont Employees):
Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy TechnicianCompensation
$65,005.51 - 71,855.76 per year.
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience,and education.
