ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Deputy Program Manage r to join our team in the Albuquerque, NM area .to provide subcontracting assistance and oversight in a rapidly growing, technology development support contract. The Deputy Program Manager will work along side the Program Manager, Subcontracts team, Finance team, and a world class team of technical SMEs to create, manage, and report on multiple technology development subcontracts. This position needs to understand FFP, T&M, and CPFF type contracts and earned value management principles along with having excellent organizational and communication skills. The Deputy Program Manager will directly oversee multiple subcontracts to ensure they are maintaining schedules, cost reporting, risk management, and delivery milestones. They will develop reports that flow throughout ManTech and to our government customer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managing multiple subcontracts simultaneously.
Ensuring that all the project activities are performed and completed in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner without compromising the quality of the performance and deliverables.
Maintaining close liaison with the Vendors, MT Subcontracts, MT Finance, and higher level PM.
Developing, monitoring, and reporting on financial, contractual, and risk with respect to the subcontracts being managed.
Meet program financial goals.
Deliver effective control systems and reporting for accurately processing change and controlling in-scope performance of program functional task elements.
Assist in the development of SOW’s, Specifications, RFI’s, RFP’s, Contract Letters, Terms and Conditions negotiations, independent cost analysis, and schedules.
Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports to support periodic program reviews within and with customers.
Work with higher-level program managers to provide effective and efficient management of the contractor's effort.
Prepare program status reviews and other formal presentations.
Communicate issues and solutions in a timely manner.
Work within MT processes and procedures to expedite the placement of subcontracts, NDAs, and other contract related materials.
Qualifications:
BA degree in Business or related and/or a BS degree in Engineering.
7 years of Experience in leading and mentoring multiple teams, projects and/or large groups.
Ability to multitask, work and identify priorities independently, as well as work with large interdisciplinary teams to complete complex projects..
Microsoft Project proficiency.
Proficiency with basic accounting principles.
Understanding and experience with Directed Energy Weapons, precision tracking systems, or optical systems a plus.
Preferred:
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Excellent technical, verbal, and written communication.
Microsoft Office suite proficiency (Excel; Word; PowerPoint)
Clearance:
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have or be eligible to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearance .
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
