　　Duties, Responsibilities & Other

　　KCi Technologies is hiring a Sr. Electrical Project  Engineer to join our MEP practice.Qualified candidates will have 6+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in MEP Building Systems professionResponsible for working independently to develop electrical design drawings for building systems.  This will include creating a one-line diagram, creating load analysis, creating panel schedules, researching product data sheets for various pieces of equipment to find the electrical information. Selecting/ specifying electrical equipment like switchboards/ panels/ transformer/ Lighting Controls.This person will also be expected to answer questions about their design during the construction process to provide guidance and information to architects and contractors.This person will be expected to communicate professionally with clients, and other engineers.PE License is required

　　Qualifications

　　Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Appropriate graduate level work. Master's degree preferred.6 - 10 years of professional experience.  PE Required.The target candidate will have experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring projects involving both overhead and underground engineering systems.Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

　　Submit for approval and deliver timely annual Employee Performance Appraisals for assigned staffTrain adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absenceComply with all KCI policies and proceduresEnsure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirementsManage work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as requiredComplete other duties as required/assignedAchieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target(75%-80% typical)Attend bi-weekly(or more frequently as necessary) meetings with project team on all projects/tasksChart and provide task performance resultsComplete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scopeConsult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as requiredOperate within specified (corporate or project) budget parametersPrepare interpractice agreements and/or outside requests as requiredProvide technical project and staff oversightServe as task manager on select projectsCompare field data to base planConduct site visits and gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes and photographs as neededPrepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates for review and approvalPrepare preliminary concept designs and submit for approvalRead and interpret technical documents needed for performance of jobReview and approve shop drawingsComplete Annual Individual Training Program
