FANUC America Corporation (FAC) provides the most complete range of industry-leading robotics, CNC and motion control systems, and ROBODRILL machining centers. Our innovative technologies and proven expertise help manufacturers in the Americas to be more efficient, reliable and profitable. We are currently searching for a dynamic,Senior Installation Engineerto support all phases of installation and service of robots and robotic systems by providing technical assistance. This work includes setup, programming, troubleshooting, and repairing robots and peripheral devices. Provide job coordination to projects and technical leadership, mentoring to other installation personnel.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Provide support to FANUC products through build, buyoff, integration, customer acceptance, plant installation and plant production support.
Provide timely updates back to Management, which should include any incidental service issues that may arise during the different phasing of the project.
Provide prompt, professional and courteous solutions to customer problems. Be able to troubleshoot problems, secure any needed parts.
Process any necessary paperwork and provide the customer/FAC with detailed descriptions of the issues found.
Provide technical support to various parts of FAC including Hotline, training segments and to the informal training of Installation personnel.
Respond urgently to customer issues.
Assist in development testing of new products
Provide leadership, job coordination, scheduling as required
Assist in process improvement projects
Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science or equivalent technical education preferred, or a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience preferred
Ability to analyze and solve service and robot installation problems.
Must be experienced and skilled in the following areas: FANUC’s robotic hardware and software products, industrial electrical, electronic, and computer hardware, high level programming languages, PLCs and body shop application/process equipment.
High School Diploma or GED Required
