Overview:
In this role as a Principal Engineer (Product Technical Lead, Advanced Structures) actively participate in NPI, redesign and sustenance activities of Electronics design, development, verification, and validation especially power electronics.
Position: Principal Engineer(P4)
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Electronic Product Development Lifecycle and its execution
Understand stakeholder requirements, effectively plans and executes to meet these and delight customers
Collaborates with System Architect, discipline leads and Project Manager to define the Delivery/Release Plan based on the customer requirements
Defines the entry/exit criteria for each major milestone including list of deliverables
Develops and Maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers
Negotiates the with customer / stake holders on risks, delivery plans and entry/exit criteria
Act as a moderator in bringing synergy among product development teams
Responsible for product delivery and Quality Technical/product level decision making capabilities and define priorities
Collaboration with cross functional teams like Systems, Electronics, Software, Firmware, Program, Mechanical, Test, etc.
Work with program focal for Scope Management, Risk Management, Change Management, and Cost
Work with Functional managers for resource profiling
Basic Qualifications:
11 to 13 years of Industry experience with experience in Systems/Electronics product development
BE/B-tech/MTech in Electronics/electrical discipline
Solid communication, writing skills and teaming skills are a must.
Good knowledge/understanding of product qualification based on DO-160 or equivalent industry standard.
Electronic design background with electronic product design & technical leadership experience is preferred
Knowledge of DO-178 and DO-254 is an added advantage
