Job Description
Your role: You will be integral to the success of our licensing business. Responsible for the end-to-end clearance and export process of News UK content, ongoing management of our customer facing platforms,ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and maximising revenue opportunities through strategic partnerships and first point of contact for all incoming queries.
The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of licensing agreements, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced media environment. This is a busy and varied role suited to a good communicator with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of licensing agreements, with a keen interest in our brands.
Day to day you will:
Liaise with our brand’s Editorial teams to ensure licensing rights are cleared and instructing our News Archives team on content ready for upload onto our customer facing commercial websites.
Coordinate with the sales team to deliver daily marketing newsletters to clients.
Regular management of the News Licensing platform including the categorisation and curation of content.
Liaise with contributors, ensuring necessary licensing rights are obtained, issuing licensing agreements as and when required.
Support with on-going improvements to processes and systems, while providing support and training to Sales Teams on the use of new systems.
Responsible for updating any legal restrictions on all licensing platforms, issuing instructions to third parties in possession of our content.
Escalation of technical issues in relation to our web platforms with third party suppliers and technology team when required.
Provide monthly sales updates on content sold to key stakeholders.
Support with the department's marketing requirements, including updating Social media and briefing designers on the creation of marketing literature and trade show collateral.
Assist with tracking unauthorised use of our content.
Provide weekend cover for the department on a rota basis, providing sales and operational support for the weekend shift

Basic copyright knowledge
Good rounded general knowledge base
Some product owner experience and basic knowledge of copyright law would be an advantage.
