DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will ensure pre-licensure professional and practical nursing programs operate in compliance with laws and regulations. You will be evaluating curriculum, faculty, teaching methods, clinical facilities, and student services.
As the Nursing Education Advisor, you will advise the State Board of Nursing regarding issues related to pre-licensure nursing education and make recommendations based on research findings, respond to inquiries regarding nursing education and practice laws and regulations, and develop and maintain records to meet statutory and regulatory requirements. Duties also include leading activities for nursing education program databases, conducting detailed reviews of pre-licensure nursing education programs and determining a course of action when needed, and attending and participating in various forums and seminars in the state.
This position includes occasional travel to nursing education programs for site visits and forums, seminars and gatherings related to pre-licensure nursing education.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Five years of professional nursing experience attained in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania during the past five-year period, including three years as an administrator, supervisor, or instructor, in an accredited professional Registered Nursing education program; and a master's degree in nursing.
Special Requirement:All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
