Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op (June - December 2024) As an Engineering Co-Op you will gain exposure in the various aspects of engineering for a global manufacturing company. In addition, you will develop your professional expertise, technical skills, and business acumen by collaborating with experienced nVent engineering professionals and by supporting various initiatives and projects. As a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op you will get to: Learn manufacturing processes to recommend and implement new solutions Assist with moves of production areas, and provide input on product flow and layouts Work and resolve quality issues affecting product or manufacturing methods Analyze and interpret data to make decisions on project implementation Review manufacturing cycle time readings to improve labor standards. Participate in cross-functional events to broaden expertise and provide fresh input What You Will Experience in this Position Your experience as a Packaging Engineering Co-Op goes beyond the day-to-day of your role. In addition to the support of your manager, you can expect to grow and develop through exposure to leadership, engaging in development opportunities, and networking with other early career professionals Training & Development: Training and development is provided throughout your internship through on-the-job experiences and structured learning opportunities, fostering the development of business acumen and leadership skills at a global organization. Community: Join a community of other early career professionals as you launch your career. A peer-led committee helps to organize social, professional and service-related activities and events for interns and early career professionals. You will also be invited to join our Employee Resource Groups (ERG's) which offer special events, networking, professional development and volunteer opportunities throughout the year to promote inclusion and respect and to help us embrace our diversity. Mentorship & Networking: Build a network of peers, managers and senior leaders to support your career path and aid your growth. Gain exposure to nVent professionals at every level who will act as formal and informal mentors during your internship. YOU HAVE: Required Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology Minimum 1 semester SolidWorks & AutoCAD Previous work and/or internship experience Ability to work in Anoka, MN for the duration of the Co-Op experience (relocation assistance not provided) Candidates applying for nVent's Co-Op and Internship Program must have current work authorization and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. nVent does not provide work authorization sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work full time including overtime for the term outlined Good project management and organizational skills Proficient personal computer skills (Microsoft Office Products, CAD software etc.) Excellent communication and presentation skills, including strong active listening skills. Proven ability to analyze, interpret and draw meaningful and accurate conclusions from data.
