Tasks & responsibilities
In your new role, you drive and implement the Sourcing Strategy for global Sourcing Categories in alignment with the overall BI Sourcing Strategy, while constantly seeking opportunities to increase productivity, optimize external global spend, and reduce costs.
You prepare for future sourcing challenges in the category by staying updated on industry trends and market dynamics and collaborate closely with other (Senior) Category Managers to identify, evaluate, and classify sourcing risks, and develop risk mitigation measures.
Furthermore, you identify and evaluate potential as well as existing suppliers, maintain strong relationships with them and establish global Frame Agreements.
Utilizing the Strategic Supplier Relationship Management, you introduce innovation from the external marketplace into BI.
In addition, you serve as a contact point within the Sourcing team to align on issue resolutions, common goals, strategies, and manage demands to ensure a smooth transfer of relevant information both internally and externally.
Lastly, you will actively participate in cross-functional teams that implement innovative ways of working to bring us to the next level on various dimensions such as speed, cost, new technologies, optimization of buying channels, etc.
Requirements
Master's degree or Diploma in business administration and/or life sciences
Few years of experience in Sourcing paired with first experience in Category Management in an international environment
Understanding of demand management, market and supplier analysis, compliance management incl. due diligence, risk management, innovation, supplier management, contract management, negotiation techniques and other established sourcing methodologies
An open-minded, motivated, persuasive, and perseverant personality with outstanding internal and external relationship management skills and willingness to take on responsibility
Team player with intercultural awareness and strong communication skills in English, knowledge of the German language is a plus
