Job Purpose:
The Head of Advisory Sales is a senior-level position responsible for providing advisory services and distributing research content to the German/Austria based clients.
Job Background/Context:
The successful candidate is expected to expand existing cash equity relationships within the German/Austrian client base. Furthermore, they should build new relationships in accordance with our business plan. There is strong partnership with Prime, Salestrading, Trading, Delta1, Equity capital markets and Derivatives. The overall objective of this role is to generate commission and be a conduit for the customer base into the Equity market.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Sales franchise in a country, provide strategic direction for the institutional client business, drive the business towards growth potential and supervise/guide a team.
Articulate a strategy to grow business and client footprint, partner with key stakeholders to deliver the full suite of Citi solutions capabilities to clients.
Manage Client relationships on a day-to-day basis with German/Austrian and Dutch asset managers/banks/insurance companies.
Develop new relationships, cement current relationships, and share existing relationships with Citi colleagues.
Work closely together with existing sales/trading and sales team members.
Market Citigroup’s execution capabilities, contribute to the team strategy and deliver a high level of customer service.
Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics.
Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you.
Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:
German language proficiency is a must.
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equiva-lent experience
Master's degree preferred
Competencies
Extensive experience working at a similar financial service organization.
Experience in a client-facing role working with the buy-side community.

Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
