Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Front Desk Coordinator in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The role is set in a church environment and involves undertaking administrative and customer service duties. The candidate will be the first point of contact for the organization, handling both direct and telephone interactions, as well as managing the calendar and producing written communications.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the initial point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome and efficiently addressing their needs.
• Manage the switchboard, handling between 1 to 10 lines, ensuring all calls are answered promptly and directed to the appropriate personnel.
• Take charge of scheduling appointments and managing the calendar to ensure smooth operations within the organization.
• Oversee room reservations, confirming bookings and ensuring all details are accurately recorded.
• Produce and edit written communications such as newsletters, bulletins, and calendar inserts, ensuring they are error-free and properly formatted.
• Provide top-notch customer service, promptly and professionally resolving any inquiries or issues that may arise.
• Utilize MS Office suite for various administrative tasks, demonstrating proficiency in software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring it presents a positive image of the organization to guests. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or customer service environment
• Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proven experience in managing appointments and calendars
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
• Experience in composing professional correspondence
• Ability to operate switchboards or multi-line phone systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
• High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education is a plus.
