Job Description Summary
Reporting into the U.S. Finance Sales Reporting Manager, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the U.S. Region with all aspects of Sales and GP% analysis including planning, budgeting, forecasting and analyzing financial results along with month end close responsibilities.
The Financial Analyst will be required to collaborate with the VP of U.S. Sales and the Global Business Unit to ensure the accuracy of monthly reporting, quarterly projections and annual budgets as well as to monitor, track and analyze actual performance against plans for purposes of providing analysis and commentary for management decisions. Planning areas will include Revenue and Cost of Goods Sold for the U.S. Region.

Responsibilities
Supports Sales through Standard GP planning and budgeting effort for the U.S. Region
Maintains financial planning models, develops and monitors forecasts, trends and supports performance management analysis and commentary
Understands budgeting, planning and operational data to run reports and develop ad-hoc reports using the excel and standardized planning tools such as Power BI.
Prepares ad hoc analysis for Finance Leadership, Business Partners and Segment FP&A on an as-needed basis
Helps develop value added financial reporting systems for managing business performance
Assists with the monthly accounting close process
Assists with audit and tax requests as needed
Maintains current knowledge and ensure compliance of all organizational policies and procedures, current accounting standards, state and federal regulations, GAAP, and internal controls
Assists with development of accounting policies and procedures in all areas of responsibility and ensure controls are adequately designed to achieve control objectives
Provides customer service to internal and external customers
Provides procedural guidance to junior level accounting positions
Education and Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree required in one of these fields: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or other business related field of study
Minimum 2 + years of relevant finance experience with a focus on planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting required. Accounting background a plus
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements listed above
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
Working knowledge of relational databases and background in Microsoft VBA and SQ
Strong quantitative and analytical skills for creating insightful and actionable reporting and analysis
Ability to go beyond the numbers, discern trends, determine the root cause of variances, and consider the broad business implications in helping identify opportunities and improve performance
Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures – GAAP/IFRS
Experience with ERP Systems, budgeting and reporting tools commonly found in today larger businesses such as SAP / JDE
Strong ability to communicate well with all levels of management; must be effective in converting data into useful information and communicating that information through concise commentary
Comfortable communicating remotely (i.e. via telephone, videoconference or web meeting)
