Responsible for general assignments in the Intellectual Property and Records (IPR) dept. associated with document requests and drawing distribution. Provides engineering documentation for the Valmet organization. Prepare necessary documentation to permit sourcing or pricing of the items requested.
Work with drawing lists or drawing breakdowns to satisfy internal and external print requests and distribute the appropriate media requested;
Proper identification of specific parts utilizing Valmet documentation systems.
Organize and assemble customer, engineering, and installation print books;
Perform automated searches using retrieval programs and manual searches to input missing information into retrieval programs;
Maintain accurate record of documents received and distributed;
Support all aspects of the “scan-on-demand” request system;
Use department scanning and conversion equipment to convert hard copy documents into electronic format and update document databases;
Create electronic parts catalog for customer use via web or CD-ROM
Preparation of updated documentation (BOMs, e-manuals) for customers
Good knowledge of various documentation types by OEM and machine sections
Participate, when needed as a member of a work team, working towards and sharing responsibilities for attaining goals of the team
Generate drawings. Check drawings generated by others, as part of the drawing process.
Maintain internal departmental performance data.
Monitor and maintain machine consumables. Update stock use records and report meter readings.
Operate printers, plotters, scanning equipment and associated computer equipment used in satisfying document requests.
Analyze machine problems for report of or assisting service providers
Photography of and image management of machine part photos and item data used with eServices and other company applications.
Digitize machine manuals, add appropriate bookmarks and optimize for intranet and eStore
Maintain or add Items and Bills of Materials within PDM system, in support of eStore electronic catalog
Utilize Valmet software to gather and create eStore electronic catalogs
Gather customer documentation for specific customer and electronically add content to Valmet systems
Review published eStore content for accuracy and to ensure suitable content for customer viewing.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus a minimum of three to four years related experience in the operation of scanning and large format printing equipment and use of programs/tools to identify drawings requested.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Good knowledge of imaging software and proficient in use of Abobe Acrobat.
Knowledgeable in use of AutoCAD and Catia a plus.
Good reading and comprehension skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, work well under pressure, be well organized, flexible and cooperative.
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Pay Details: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour
