This position will investigate and develop accessory products in Exterior, Interior, and Chassis across new BEV Platforms and existing platforms. Project management skills are necessary to be successful in the primary role. The role will champion processes for Global Programs.

Creation of Robustness Documents – Warranty Reviews, Boundary Diagram, Interface Matrix and Listing, P-Diagrams, DFMEA, Validation Documents, SCCAF Documents, and Assessments. Work with Core Engineering and FMA Teams to sign-off for approval and release in FEDE.
Interface with Failure Mode Avoidance Quality Teams and PD Core Engineering Technical Expert Contacts
Research requirements data base, Warranty Data analysis, Regulation research
Manage Instruction Sheet Development process for Installation Time, Posting I-Sheets to the key websites.
Work with the Dealer Installed Option (DIO) Labor Process Team to define and develop and define the Labor Time DIO process.
Modern SharePoint development and editing for Engineering Homepage updates, maintenance, and new format development.
Training will be required in key areas at start-up of the position.
Bachelor of Science Degree Engineering Discipline
5+ years’ experience in design and release of functional components and systems integration
Familiarity with engineering and design of automotive parts and systems
Working knowledge of Team Center and TcVis Mockup
Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Experience with resolving complex issues and effectively communicating to management.
Knowledge of Ford Systems: WERS, GPDS
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing, designing, releasing, and validating vehicle accessory products.
Knowledge of SharePoint Classic and SharePoint Modern application
Understanding of automotive networks – FEDE Application, Team Center, WERS
Experience with CAD and physical schematics
Technical aptitude, desire to learn.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
Knowledge of engineering disciplines; Six Sigma, DFMEA, DVP, Certification Testing, GD&T, DFM, Variation Analysis
